2006 Lincoln Aviator Pictures

Boasting a powerful new engine and sophisticated transmission the new 2008 Lincoln Aviator SUV is one of the most luxurious SUVs on the road today. Our 2008 Lincoln Aviator SUV review is here with new features, information and pictures. A Premium model and a Luxury model grace the Lincoln Aviator stable this year. Read further in our 2008 Lincoln Aviator SUV review for more Aviator specs, info, and pictures updated monthly.

Under the hood of the 2008 Lincoln Aviator SUV, an advanced 32-valve, V-8 InTech engine delivers a thrilling performance. The engine produces 302 horsepower at 5,750 rpm and 300 pounds-per-foot of torque at 3,250 rpm, using an advanced DOHC design and variable-length intake runners. The Lincoln Aviator SUV offers a sophisticated, sport-tuned 4-wheel independent suspension with coil springs and lightweight aircraft-grade aluminum components for added stability and handling. Short-and-long arm with monotube shocks and stabilizer bars are incorporated into the front and rear suspensions to allow Lincoln Aviator to maintain balance, composure and crisper steering response on a variety of road conditions. Even the most articulate 2008 Lincoln Aviator review cannot bring the true feeling of driving a new Lincoln Aviator. We recommend going out and test driving one today.

This is one sleek SUV, judging from our 2008 Lincoln Aviator picture. On the outside, the Aviator SUV boasts:

  • Hood-mounted grille

  • Horizontal quad-beam halogen headlamps with complex reflectors

  • Park lamps located below reflector lamps for added visibility

  • Redundant tail lamps and a high-mounted LED brake lamp are

  • Chrome highlights

All of the Aviator's attention to detail continues on the inside, where amenities include such features as:

  • Abundant use of traditional materials, such as genuine American burl walnut wood blended with modern satin nickel

  • Audio and climate controls incorporated into the luxurious wood- and leather-trimmed steering wheel

  • Signature analog clock

  • Standard Vehicle Navigation System

  • Available heated and cooled power-adjustable seats.

Along with a truckload of available Aviator accessories, the style and feel of this SUV is second to none. With features like these, it's no wonder why so many Aviator reviews are so positive.

The 2008 Aviator is safe, too. Thanks to the comprehensive Personal Safety System, the car's computers automatically monitor belt usage and employs a front crash severity sensor as well as a driver's seat position sensor to determine the appropriate force of airbag deployment. All vehicles also are equipped with:

  • Three-point safety belts, including height-adjustable shoulder harnesses on the outboard first- and second-row seats

  • Safety Canopy System deploys airbags from the headliner to cover about 65 percent of the window area in the first two rows

  • Sensors that monitors the Aviator's angle and acceleration, and determines if a rollover is imminent

Many of these are exclusive safety features in the luxury SUV class, features you'll soon discover you can't live without. To read more about these features, or to check out some of the newest Aviator pictures, please check back with us and our Aviator review again soon. We update our pages at least once a month, and look forward to having you visit to explore some of those updates over the next few weeks.
