At the heart of every 2008 Envoy SUV is a powerful engine,
and each Envoy comes standard with different engine configurations
to meet varying demands. The base Envoy SUV features smooth
engine performance and a comfortable ride with a Vortec 4200
inline 6-cylinder that delivers 275 horsepower at 6000 rpm
and produces 275 pounds-per-foot of torque at 3600 rpm. The
Envoy XL comes standard with the same engine, but also is
available with a Vortec 5300 V-8 that delivers 290 horsepower
at 5200 rpm and produces 330 pounds-per-foot of torque at
4000 rpm. If all of this power isn't enough, all of the Envoy
models feature standard:
- Four-speed automatic transmissions
- 22-gallon fuel tanks
- Rear Load-Leveling suspension
- Traction assist
- Towing capacity of up to 6,300 pounds
With muscle like this, it's no wonder why the Envoy was one
of the most popular SUVs of 2002.
As you can see from the Envoy picture above, standard vehicle
features don't stop with performance. On the inside, some
of the available amenities include:
- Seven-passenger seating, including third-row
- Automatic dual-zone climate controls
- 65/35 split seating configuration
- Bose music system with six CD changer and six speakers
- Luxurious leather seating surfaces
- Independently heated seat backs and cushions
Some of the more popular exterior features on the Envoy SUV
consist of things such as washer headlamps, rooftop luggage
rack, and outside power-heated foldaway rearview mirrors.
There are even a number of 2008 Envoy accessories, including
body moldings, license plate bracket, and offroad black wall
tires, to name a few.
No car, however, would be complete without the right safety
provisions, and GMC experts say the 2008 GMC Envoy SUV is
one of the safest trucks in its class, with amenities such
as:
- Front and side Air Bags
- Three-point safety belts in all occupant positions
- Antilock braking system
- OnStar emergency navigation system
These safety features are only the beginning. For information
