The 2008 2009 Ford Ranger XL is great and one of the best pickup
trucks on the market today. The truck is tough, durable, and
comes with dozens of Ranger parts that simply make sense.
This year's Ranger pickup comes in six different models:
- Ranger XL
- Edge
- XLT
- Tremor
- FX4
- Ranger FX4 Level II
The 2008 2009 Ford Ranger XL as well as all of the other models
are available with Regular or Super cabs, and all of the models
can be ordered with standard four-wheel drive. What's more,
every truck comes with a host of available Ranger accessories
that are designed to make your truck better suited to your
individual tastes and needs. For more information, stay tuned!
The new and improved truck comes with three different available
engines to improve Ranger performance:
- On the Ranger XL and Ranger XLT, a 2.3-liter I4 delivers
142 horsepower at 5,250 rpm and produces 154 pounds-per-foot
of torque at 3,750 rpm.
- On the Ranger Edge and Ranger Tremor, a 3.0-liter V-6
delivers 154 horsepower at 5,200 rpm and produces 180 pounds-per-foot
of torque at 3,900 rpm.
- On the Ranger FX4 and Ranger FX4 Level II, a 4.0-liter
V-6 delivers 207 horsepower at 5,250 rpm and produces 238
pounds-per-foot of torque at 3,000 rpm.
No matter which engine you choose, other standard Ranger
parts include Sequential Electronic Fuel Injection, five-speed
manual transmission, power rack and pinion steering, and towing
capacities of up to 9,500 pounds. The trucks also come with
a variety of wheels, ranging from 15- inch steel on the Ranger
XL to 16-inch Custom Cast aluminum on the Ranger FX4 Level
II.
But the rugged elegance doesn't stop there. All Ranger trucks
boast chrome grills, platinum-painted bumpers, wheel lip moldings,
and a quick-release tailgate. Inside, the trucks offer amenities
such as:
- 60/40 cloth split bench
- Air conditioning
- Intermittent windshield wipers
- Additional 12-volt power points
- Day/night rearview mirror
- Solar tinted glass
- 485-watts audio system
- Optional MP3-CD player

anti-theft system. With safety features such as these, it's
no wonder the Ranger has been the best-selling compact pickup
for 15 years straight. Don't take our word for it, though
